All our products described below can be ordered here, or from their own websites. Stop Bite is our traditional Scottish midge repellent, with Lavandin, Bog Myrtle, rosemary and lavender. It also works with mosquitoes and other insects. Other sprays are Itch Ease for insect bites, our refreshing Toots Ease for your feet and wasp and bee Sting Ease comforting spray. They are made with fresh herbs and witch hazel, sold in 50 ml. (2 oz) pump spray plastic bottles. Our sprays are totally natural and use no chemicals. New (2008): Citronella, lavender and bog myrtle Midge candles. These 3 inch pillar candles are solid and chunky, they weigh about 330 grams, and should burn for up to 37 hours. They are made exclusively for us in England and use high quality oils, wax, wicks and colours. The Bog Myrtle midge candle is glowing green, the citronella candle in a vibrant yellow, and the lavender candle in a purple lilac colour. As well as being attractive, they smell lovely! You can now get our midge candles with these fragrances in a compact size in a tin, with a burning time of up to 12 hours and a total weight of 75 grams. The lightweight tin, made specially for us, is about 65 mm diameter by 25 mm deep, and very convenient for storing in a backpack for campers or walkers. "The Stopper" Midge Head Net for midge eXtreme is designed by us, and made exclusively for us in Scotland. It has a showerproof breathable microfibre top, and very fine soft mesh material for excellent visibility and comfort, shaped loosely at the neck with elastic, with our innovative snug-fit collarette. It is available in Black, Navy Blue or white, and 4 week soak-tested for use with Stop Bite Midge Repellent. After many customer requests we also now sell plain small, medium or jumbo packs of our black or white midge netting. The insect netting is a delicate fabric, please treat with care, the pack has no fittings or instructions. Our Full Midge Monty bag has a bottle of Stop Bite repellent, Itch Ease after bite and The Stopper midge head net. Right is our Three Feet bag, for a refreshing, rejuvenating and re-energising sweet feet treat! This has three different foot sprays: Toots Ease with Rosemary, Foot Sage with mostly Sage, and Minty Toes with - Mint! There's also our famous Bugout Bag for holidays. This has a bottle of our midge repellent Stop Bite, one of Itch Ease, and one of Sting Ease to take care of your insect worries. All our products are sold in independent shops and outlets around Scotland, the Lake District and Wales. They include village stores, pharmacies and chemists, petrol stations, caravan sites and leisure parks, castles and hotels, gardens and garden centres, gift shops and visitor centres, hardware, outdoor, sport, marinas, climbing, walking, fishing and hunting shops. We invite more interest from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, continental Europe and the rest of The World. Individual customers are still welcome to buy direct (secure SSL) from us but we do add on a nominal postage charge per order. By Totally Herby we mean just exactly that - we will introduce more and more products that have everything to do with herbs. This website is low priority as we do our real business "out there", with our present and future ranges of herb products. Later on we hope to bring you information and properties of the most common kitchen herbs: parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, along with basil, bay, garlic and chives. Onions and shallots can also be called herbs, and some chefs use welsh onions for their flavour. Dill and garden mint or spearmint are often used to help digestion, and as well as being used for curry, cumin and coriander and even caraway are still popular herbs in their own right. Salads can be garnished with dandelions, marigolds and nasturtium leaves, and savoury savory;

Mediterranean cuisine abounds with the use of marjoram, oregano and tarragon. Lemon balm and applemint add delicious flavour to drinks, even Coca Cola!

Herbs from our gardens and the wild.

Herbalists will use herbs such as rue, cleavers (sticky willie) and yarrow for homeopathic medicines, cosmetic uses include borage, lovage, lavender, marigold (scars) the well known chamomile and hyssop. Dock leaves are crushed to provide instant relief for nettle stings (which our Itch Ease is also good for), but lesser known herbs include comfrey, plantain, savory, the male fern, fennel, elderflower, the beautiful feverfew, and hawthorn to draw out splinters and thorns, bog myrtle is used in insect repellents, good for healing wounds and apparently has anti-wrinkle properties.

These herbs are all growing in Scotland, cultivated or wild amongst the heather and the bracken.

Our Clootie Dumpling is handmade from our own traditional Scottish recipe. It is made with Tennents sweet stout and oak matured single malt whisky, raisins, sultanas and oatmeal, gently spiced for a warm flavour.

Our Christmas special is our luxury Wee Pudding. This delicious gently spiced individual Christmas pudding is mixed to a traditional recipe without added nuts, steamed, attractively bound in muslin and wrapped.

Each Clootie or wee Xmas pudding is individually handmade to an extreme high quality, with fruit that has all stalks removed, mixed with utmost care and steamed to perfection. They are hand-wrapped with greaseproof paper, muslin and cellophane.
